Check the Days-on-Market for other condos
DOM or Days-on-Market measures the days that a certain property was on the real estate market before an offer was accepted, or the listing expired or was taken off. Compare condos that are similar to yours, like the type of unit, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the square footage. This will give you an idea on what to expect regarding how long it could be before it sells.
Before listing your condo on the salmon arm real estate market, you may want to have an inspection done by either your realtor or a professional, to see if there are any improvements or renovations that need to take place. One thing you can do is visit open houses for other condos in your area, just to see what they may have that you don’t.
Once that second step has been taken care of you may want to look into staging your condo. Speak with your realtor to see if they have any suggestions, or you can even hire a professional home stager. If money is tight and you are not able to hire a professional, and wish to do it yourself, please keep in mind that the condo needs to appeal to the potential buyers, and not just what you like. Open up your space by removing any clutter, and do a very thorough cleaning of your condo so it looks its best.
